Should you race here?
A metro stop three minutes away and the lowest costs on this calendar, with one serious caveat.
Reasons to
- Knowledge Park II station is three minutes from the halls.
- A room near the venue starts around INR 1,036 and a meal about INR 300.
- Only 22mm of rain across January, on about two days.
- Agra and Delhi are both day trips from here, which few races offer.
Reasons not to
- January air in the capital region is the worst of any race on this calendar.
- A medtech expo overlaps the race in four of the halls.
- No airport fare and no transit day ticket is published.
- It drops to 8°C (46°F) at dawn, which catches people out.
Conditions on the day
Hyrox Noida runs January 15th, 2027 to January 17th, 2027 at India Expo Mart. Here is what that specific window is like on the ground.
The catch
Mild days, cold mornings, hazy air
20°C (68°F) by day, 8°C (46°F) at night
Greater Noida in mid-January
- The January average reaches 20°C (68°F) by day and falls to 8°C (46°F) at night.
- Air quality is the thing to plan around here, not the temperature.
- 22mm of rain falls across about two days, so the month is dry.
- Daylight runs 07:13 to 17:45, about ten and a half hours.

Greater Noida has moved building, moved season, and grown from a single day into the best part of a week. Where you race, and when, changes the day more than most people expect.
India Expo Mart, your race is in this building
A large exhibition complex of numbered halls in a planned satellite city south-east of Delhi, with a metro station three minutes away.
Known for. Large trade fairs, from food to printing to medical technology, running most weeks of the year.
The building. Opened in 2005 as the exhibition ground for the capital region, as Greater Noida was built out from farmland.
Race day and start times
The thing that shapes your travel is not the race date. It is when you find out what time you are racing on it.
Hyrox links individual start times on the event page a few days before the race. A provisional schedule goes up earlier.
What to bring
At India Expo Mart, and only on the day you compete. Registration opens 90 minutes before the first wave of your division.
You do not bring a chip. You collect the ankle strap at check-in, wear it for the race, and hand it back after the line.
What your wristband does not cover
You are given a wristband at check-in. Hyrox has not published what the Greater Noida one admits you to. Check-in is open only on the day you race, so do not assume it covers a second day.
Getting there on the morning
The Aqua Line to Knowledge Park II, three minutes from the halls, or a walk from the hotels in the same sector.
What you need to book
Before you book
The listing runs 15 to 17 January, so confirm your division's day before booking the last night.
If Hyrox cancels or postpones the event, its terms do not cover your flights or your room. Check the cancellation deadline on both before you pay for either.
Flying into the city
Delhi's Indira Gandhi International is the larger and better connected of the two, and further from the venue.

Quick tip
No airport fare was reachable from any source, so book the transfer with wherever you are staying rather than at the kerb.

1. Hotels in Knowledge Park II
The venue's own sector, with hotels clustered for the trade fairs. Rooms start around INR 1,036 and the walk is three minutes.
2. Hotels at Pari Chowk
The commercial heart of the planned city, with shops, restaurants and the metro. Nine minutes on foot from the halls.
3. Hotels on the Noida Expressway
More choice along the expressway corridor towards Noida and Delhi, at the cost of a road transfer each way.
The complex runs trade fairs almost continuously in January, and the medtech expo overlaps the race, so book early for anything in Knowledge Park II.
Neighbourhoods worth the commute
Greater Noida is a planned city of numbered sectors, and the venue sits in one of them.
| Area | To the venue | Why | Suits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Knowledge Park II | 3 to 10 min on foot | The sector holding the expo complex and the hotels built for it, with the metro station between them. | |
| Pari Chowk | about 9 min on foot | The commercial centre of Greater Noida, with the malls, the restaurants and the main metro interchange. | |
| Knowledge Park I | about 5 min by car | A quieter education sector next door, with university campuses and little else. | |
| Noida Expressway corridor | about 30 min by car | The hotel strip along the road towards Delhi, with far more choice and a real transfer each way. | |
| Noida | about 45 min by metro | The older, larger city to the north-west, on the same Aqua Line and closer to Delhi. |
Eating before and after
The night before a race is not the night for the best meal of your trip, which is harder discipline than it sounds in a city this good at food.
Knowledge Park II hotels
The hotels around the complex have restaurants doing plain rice, dal and grilled chicken, within a few minutes of the halls.
Pari Chowk
Nine minutes on foot, with far more choice including chains that do plain carbohydrate without surprises the night before.
No restaurant near the venue could be verified and no signature dish was confirmed, so these are the northern Indian staples, available everywhere nearby.
Dal makhani and roti
Black lentils cooked slowly with butter and cream, eaten with flatbread. The northern Indian plate, and about as plain and filling as food gets.
A thali
A tray of small dishes with rice, bread, dal and vegetables, which solves the problem of not knowing what to order. Cheap and complete.
Race day supplies
The practical failures that spoil a race weekend are almost never the training. They are forgetting the gels, or carrying a kit bag around a city for six hours.
Pack list
- A warm layer for the 8°C (46°F) dawn, which surprises people who expect India to be hot.
- An air quality mask. January in the capital region is the worst air on this calendar.
- Almost no waterproofing. Only 22mm falls across about two days.
Quick tips
- The metro minimum fare is INR 10 and no day ticket is published.
- Check a live air reading each morning and keep warm-ups indoors if it is bad.
Pari Chowk has supermarkets and pharmacies nine minutes away, open late. Bring any supplement or medication you rely on rather than expecting to find the same brand.
The last race in Greater Noida
No previous Greater Noida edition could be confirmed from any published source, so there is no local form to pass on.
What happened
The last edition, in short.
- Knowledge Park II on the Noida Metro Aqua Line is about three minutes' walk.
- The venue says the new Noida International Airport is thirty minutes away.
What it means for you
How your race differs from that one.
- A medtech expo runs 14 to 16 January in halls 1, 3, 5 and 7, overlapping the race.
- Rooms near the venue start around INR 1,036, which is very low by this calendar's standards.
What else is on that weekend
A trade fair calendar that runs almost without a gap, and one show overlapping the race.
| What | When | Where | What it means |
|---|---|---|---|
| India MedTech Expo | 14 to 16 January | India Exposition Mart, halls 1, 3, 5 and 7 | Overlaps the first two race days in four of the halls. Confirm which hall you are in and allow extra time at the gates. |
| Indusfood | 8 to 10 January | India Expo Centre | The week before, in the same complex. Rooms should be turning over as you arrive. |
| PU TECH | 20 to 22 January | India Expo Centre | Starts three days after the race finishes, so it does not affect the weekend. |
| Pari Chowk | All weekend | Nine minutes from the venue | The centre of Greater Noida, with the shops and restaurants, within walking distance of the halls. |
What to see
Written for someone racing tomorrow, not a tourist with a week. Each entry says how far it is, because some of these are worth a longer trip and some are not.
Delhi, for a day
The capital is an hour and a half away on the metro, with the Red Fort, Humayun's Tomb and Old Delhi. The reason most people extend this trip.
Agra and the Taj Mahal
Two hours south on the Yamuna Expressway, which runs past Greater Noida. Closer from here than from Delhi, and worth the early start.
The Buddh International Circuit
India's Formula One track, built beside Greater Noida and now used for other racing. Twenty minutes away and odd to see up close.
Akshardham in Delhi
An enormous carved stone temple complex on the Delhi side, finished in 2005. An hour away and larger than photographs suggest.
What to do
Pari Chowk and the malls
The centre of the planned city is nine minutes away on foot, with air-conditioned malls, cinemas and plenty of food. The simplest way to pass a day.
An indoor session
January air here is the worst on the calendar, so the honest advice is to keep shake-outs indoors and save the lungs for the race.
The Yamuna Expressway
The road south towards Agra is the smoothest in India and the reason the Taj is a day trip from here rather than a separate journey.
Eat in Pari Chowk
Northern Indian food at local prices nine minutes from the halls, with an ordinary meal around three hundred rupees.
