Why I built Race Decoded
I crossed my first Hyrox finish line, Las Vegas 2026, and I was unsure what it actually meant. Was my sled push really bad, or was I bleeding time somewhere else? Should my runs have been faster? At what point did the race slip away from me? I had a result, but no context to make sense of it.
The data was all there. Hyrox is one of the most measurable sports there is: every run, every station, every second recorded. But finding out how your splits stacked up against athletes in your division, age group, country, or gender meant scrolling through endless pages doing the math by hand. The numbers existed. The insight didn't.What existed wasn't detailed enough or personal enough to actually change how I trained.
I also happen to love data. Give me a good question and clean data, and I'm happy for hours. That first race gave me both. The problem felt personal in two ways: as an athlete who wanted answers, and as someone who couldn't stand leaving good data unused. So I built the tool I wished I'd had. Because knowing your result is one thing. Knowing what to do with it is everything.
